Free Admission Sunday at the County Museum
The San Bernardino County Museum invites the public to visit the museum in Redlands during regular museum hours with no admission fee on Sunday, March 4. Visitors will enjoy special exhibits along with displays of specimens and artifacts that interpret local history, anthropology, geology, paleontology, and biological sciences in regional context. Free admission is sponsored by a contribution from Platypus, a design and architectural firm.
Museum’s special exhibits include, “First People: the art in artifact,” “A Fan in the Hand,” and “Hanging with the Museum.” Visitors will also get a chance to see Dr. Sandra Kamusikiri’s Chautauqua-type performance “Meet Biddy Mason” at 2:00p.m. In addition, the Embroiderers guild of America will be demonstrating fine stitching and chatting informally with visitors about their organization and partnership with the museum throughout the day.
The San Bernardino County Museum is at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Everyone will be admitted free on Sunday, March 4.
