County Museum Open on Holiday Monday
The San Bernardino County Museum will be open on Monday,
January 19, in honor of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The museum is usually
closed on Mondays.
Visitors to the museum will be able to see the permanent
exhibits along with several special exhibits. January 19 is the last day to
view "If You Lived in California," a display of children's books about California
history. "Paintings by Boris Deutsch" is installed in the museum's Fisk Gallery,
and "Outdoor Adventures," photographs from the turn of the last century, is
in the Schuiling Gallery.
A new exhibit, "Beauty for the Hand and Eye," explores
the techniques used in weaving traditional Guatemalan textiles in the Hall of
History.
The Museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $6
(adult), $5 (student or senior) and $4 (child aged 5-12). Children under 5 and
Museum Association members are admitted free. Parking is free, and the facility
is handicapped-accessible. The museum's Garden Cafe will be open for lunch,
snacks, and beverages from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, call (909)
