Ms. Marquez' responsibilities include partnerships and collaborations with municipalities and other entities within the 5th District, namely, the City of Colton, the Colton Joint Unified School District, and the Community of Rosena Ranch. Ms. Marquez truly believes in public service and the need to respond to quality of life issues in an expeditious manner.
Ms. Marquez is a lifelong resident of the City of San Bernardino, attended and graduated from Pacific High School, and California State University - San Bernardino. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology. Her career spanned 33 years with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, where she was assigned to 3 prisons and 6 parole units. Subsequent to her retirement, she was elected to 2 terms as the 1st Ward Councilwoman for the City of San Bernardino from 2010-2018. During her tenure, Ms. Marquez was assigned to represent her city on the County's Inter Agency Council on Homelessness (ICH), and also chaired the San Bernardino Hometown Military Hero Banner Program.

Ms. Marquez is a parishioner of the Saint Anthony Catholic Church in San Bernardino.
